Police Investigate Deadly Shooting Outside Aurora Liquor Store

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - Police in Aurora are investigating after one man was shot and killed outside a liquor store on Sunday night.

The shooting took place shortly before 8:30 p.m. in the 15200 block of East Smoky Hill Road, near South Chambers.

Police said the male victim was shot several times and died after arriving at the hospital.

Aurora police spokesman Frank Fania said the victim likely knew the suspect.

"From what the witnesses are saying it quickly went from a verbal altercation to (the suspect) just pulling out the gun and he started firing at very close range," Fania said.
