Police Arrest Colorado Teen In 15-Year-Old's Death

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Utah police say they've arrested a Colorado teenager accused of killing a 15-year-old girl two years ago.

Anne Kasprzak was found in the Jordan River on March 11, 2012. She died of blunt force trauma to the head.

Draper police Chief Bryan Roberts says a 17-year-old Grand Junction, Colorado, boy was arrested Thursday morning in her death.

Prosecutors say they plan to file a homicide charge against him, but it's not yet clear whether he'll be tried as an adult.

The teenager's name was not released.

Veronica Kasprzak says the news of an arrest more than two years after her daughter's death is overwhelming.

Police say a 34-year-old convicted felon previously arrested in the case has no connection to Anne Kasprzak's death.
