Plum Leads Washington Women Over Colorado 79-67

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - Kelsey Plum had 28 points on Sunday as Washington jumped ahead and held Colorado at bay for a 79-67 victory.

Washington (19-7, 8-6 Pac-12) opened with a 16-2 lead and let Colorado back within three points but closed the half with 10 straight points for a 41-28 edge.

Colorado (11-14, 4-10) cut the deficit to 10 points six different times in the second half but never closed within single digits.

Chantel Osahor added 16 points while Aminah Williams and Jazmine Davis had 13 each. Plum shot 7 of 21 from the field but made 4 of 7 from the arc along with 10 of 10 from the line.

The Huskies finished with five less field goals than the Buffaloes but converted 32 of 37 free throws compared to 15 of 21 by Colorado.

Jamee Swan had her seventh double-double of the season for Colorado with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
