Drivers are warned to be careful.

"Since the pavement temperatures are going to be so cold the dry de-icer is going to provide some traction, but not as much as it usually would," Denver Public Works spokesperson Heather Burke said. "So we are asking drivers take things slow and provide plenty of time to get where you are going."

A state trooper and deputy suffered minor injuries after being hit by a car on Interstate 25 in Castle Rock Monday morning. That driver was cited for careless driving.
