Plans To Drain Harvey Gap Reservoir Postponed

SILT, Colo. (AP) — Plans to drain Harvey Gap Reservoir north of Silt have been postponed.

The drain plans would allow officials to inspect a dam outlet. The plans were canceled after a portion of County Road 237 south of the reservoir collapsed.

According to the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel, the road collapse was not related to the reservoir problems.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials have canceled a no-limits emergency fish salvage that went into effect Aug. 18.
