Pioneers Give Up Late Goal, Skate To 2-2 Tie Against Notre Dame

DENVER (CBS4) - The Denver Pioneers gave up a late goal to Notre Dame at the end of regulation Saturday night and played to a 2-2 tie.

Dylan Gambrell scored both goals for the Pioneers but also took a late penalty and Notre Dame got an equalizer with 30 seconds to go.

There were no goals in overtime so for NCAA purposes the game was technically a 2-2 tie, but DU won a shootout just for fun.

The two teams also tied on Friday night 1-1.

DU will travel to Nebraska to take on in-conference rival Nebraska-Omaha in a two-game series next weekend.
