Peyton Manning Won't Travel With Team To Chicago

DENVER (CBS4) - Peyton Manning will not be in Chicago to watch his team take on the Bears on Sunday.

"The plan was in place all week (to have Manning stay in Denver)," Broncos coach Gary Kubiak said on Friday.

Kubiak said the primary goal with Manning, who was benched on Sunday in a dreadful loss to the Chiefs, is getting him healthy.

Manning watched some of Friday's practice in Denver with Coach Gary Kubiak, but he has not been participating in practices as he recovers from foot and rib cage injuries.

There's been no word so far on whether Manning might be healthy enough to play in the Broncos Week 12 home matchup against the New England Patriots.

Watch the Broncos take on the Bears on CBS4 on Sunday at 11 a.m. Brock Osweiler will be starting at quarterback.
