Petraeus In Denver To Speak About Terrorism

DENVER (AP) — Retired Gen. David Petraeus will speak about national security threats facing the U.S. during a talk in Denver commemorating the 13th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

Gov. John Hickenlooper, Denver Mayor Michael Hancock, and The Denver Post are hosting the Thursday evening event.

Petraeus served 37 years in the military and was commander of coalition forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. He also served as director of the CIA.

Petreaus will also speak about the U.S. troop withdrawal from Afghanistan and the threat of the Islamic State.
