Person In Custody After Shots Fired In Arvada

ARVADA, Colo. (CBS4) - A person has been taken into custody after shots were fired Tuesday afternoon in Arvada.

Authorities told residents in the area of the 12000 block of West 75th Avenue to stay in their homes and away from windows after the shots were fired.

Police took a person into custody without incident and nobody else was injured.

Van Arsdale Elementary and Ralston Valley High School were placed on lockout status during the investigation. Classes had already been let out for the day, but the lockout applied to after-school activities.

The name of the suspect hasn't been released.
