Pellet Found In Cat's Hip, Latest Pet Shot Near Ketner Lake
WESTMINSTER, Colo. (CBS4)- Pet owners in Westminster are anxious after at least three cats have been shot with BB guns and pellet guns.
One of those cats is Beck, his owner adopted him in 2008.
Three weeks ago Beck's owner found a lump in his groin area. An X-ray at the vet revealed a metal pellet in his hip.
"I was very angry. I don't take animal cruelty very lightly, at all. He didn't deserve it. He certainly didn't deserve to be shot at, even if he was in somebody else's yard," said Beck's owner who didn't want to be identified.
Beck will need surgery to have the pellet removed.
Beck is just one of three cats shot in the Ketner Lake area of Westminster in recent weeks.
