Pedestrian Killed In Crash, 6th At Colfax Avenue Closed

GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4)- A pedestrian was struck and killed at 6th Avenue and Colfax Avenue on Wednesday night. The driver did stop.

Colorado State Patrol said one person was rushed to St. Anthony's Hospital after being struck but died at the hospital.

The driver involved stayed on scene and cooperated with state troopers investigating the crash.

Troopers investigated what led up to the deadly collision. It is unknown whether the pedestrian was on the shoulder or the highway.

The collision closed westbound lanes of 6th at Colfax. Colorado State Patrol estimated the road would reopen around 11:20 p.m. Wednesday.
