Pedestrian Hurt In Hit & Run At Federal & Evans

DENVER (CBS4)- A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that took off from the scene at Federal and Evans early Tuesday morning.

The hit-and-run happened just after 6 a.m. Tuesday at the busy intersection.

Copter4 flew over the intersection where several police vehicles had blocked off the southbound lanes and investigators had placed markers on the ground.

Police in Denver tweeted an update on the situation. Southbound lanes of Federal were closed at Asbury during the accident investigation and reopened at 7:15 a.m.

Police searched for a white truck with front end damage but more details about the suspect vehicle are unknown.

The pedestrian suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries. Police told CBS4 it appears the pedestrian may have been crossing illegally.
