Flags At Half Staff For Peace Officers Memorial Day On Sunday
DENVER (CBS4) - Flags on all public buildings statewide should be flying at half-staff in honor of Peace Officers Memorial Day for this year's National Police Week.
Sunday honors local, state and federal officers who have died in the line of duty.
The Arvada Police Department tweeted images saying "thank you to our anonymous officer who every year adds roses to the pictures."
It's the 25 anniversary of National Police Week. President Kennedy proclaimed May 15 as National Peace Officers Memorial Day in 1962.
