Path Through Glenwood Canyon Closed For Winter
GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Transportation officials have closed a popular bike path through Glenwood Canyon for the winter.
The Colorado Department of Transportation said Friday the path near Glenwood Springs is becoming icy and snow-packed, and with another winter storm on the way, it was closed in the interest of safety.
The path was closed intermittently over the summer and fall to allow crews to repair parts that were heavily damaged by flooding caused by spring runoff.
