Part Of Boulder Turnpike To Close Tuesday, Wednesday Nights

BROOMFIELD, Colo. (CBS4) - A stretch of Highway 36 will be closed for construction work in both directions on Tuesday and Wednesday during the overnight hours.

The closures start at 10 p.m. on both nights and last until 5:30 a.m. There was also a closure on Monday night.

The closure is between the Interlocken Loop and McCaslin Boulevard. CDOT says it is necessary to complete expansion joints on the West Flatiron bridge.

The construction is part of CDOT's US 36 Express Lanes Project.

There will also be a closure of ramps on and off Wadsworth Parkway this weekend and early next week there will be another major overnight closure over several nights, this time between Interlocken Loop and Wadsworth Parkway.
