Parker police search for potential attempted abduction suspect near elementary school

Police in Parker searched for a potential attempted abduction suspect near three schools on Wednesday morning. Investigators were searching for a suspect and suspect vehicle involved in the incident at Frontier Valley Elementary School.

Just before 9 a.m., a student told a school staff member that a man possibly in his 50s with gray hair and a mustache in a black Audi sedan approached and began talking to the student. The student was not harmed. Police say this was believed to have happened in the 23000 block of Bay Oaks Ave, which is off campus off the nearby schools.

Legend High School, Cimarron Middle School and Frontier Valley, Iron Horse and Pioneer Elementary were placed on secure status, according to police, "as a precautionary measure." That secure status was lifted just before noon on Wednesday.

Officers began patrols of the neighborhood searching for the vehicle. In an update, Parker PD confirmed the suspect vehicle also had dark tinted windows, a roof rack and a Colorado license plate.

The schools were expected to remain on secure status until officers found the vehicle or the patrols in the neighborhood were complete.

If you have any information about this incident or the driver, you can contact Detective White at 303-805-6543 or mwhite@parkerco.gov.
