Parker Police Recover 40+ Stolen Firearms

PARKER, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Parker recovered more than 40 stolen firearms after officers arrested two suspects.

Police received a phone call just after 7:30 p.m. on Saturday about two male suspects seen leaving a home in Parker. Officers stopped the suspect vehicle based on the description supplied by a witness.

While searching the vehicle officers found several handguns they would later learn were stolen. During the investigation, jewelry, coins, alcohol and more than 40 firearms were discovered-- all stolen. The value of the stolen items totals more than $20,000.

Casey Allen Riedel, 20, and Jacob Lee Whitlock, 18, both of Elizabeth were arrested on second-degree burglary, theft, criminal mischief, conspiracy to commit second-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit theft, possession of a weapon by a previous offender and violation of restraining order.

Riedel bonded out on $50,000 personal recognizance bond and Whitlock remains in custody on $15,000 bond.

Parker police want to thank neighbors for looking out and being vigilant which helped officers find the stolen firearms and arrest the suspects.
