6 Injured After Vehicle Crashes Into Business Home & Recovering

PARKER, Colo. (CBS4) - Authorities are investigating a crash they say injured six people Saturday afternoon in Parker.

According to South Metro Fire Rescue, a vehicle crashed into a RNK Running & Walking store located at 13019 South Parker Road sometime after 3 p.m.

The vehicle ended up at the back of the interior of the building.

Once the store was secured first responders went in an found four adults and two juveniles with injuries. One person was in critical condition, two were in serious condition, and the rest suffered minor injuries.

Store owner Jim Browning said two of his employees and four customers, including two teens, were hurt in the crash. The company said the employees who were injured had since been released from the hospital.

"(The car) had to be blowing through at a high rate of speed," said Browning. "It wasn't slowing down."

Parker police said a female driver and her passenger smashed into the store. Investigators believe the driver may have been suffering from a medical condition.

Jessica Nguyen was working next door when she felt the building shake.

"I heard a Big Bang," Nguyen said.

Seconds later, Nguyen said a woman who was in the running store ran in for help.

"She was panicking, she was stumbling, she was in shock," Nguyen said.

Parker police were investigating to figure out how fast the vehicle was going and how it ended up in the store.

No names have been released.
