Park Visitor Illegally Shoots Elk In Rocky Mountain National Park

ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK, Colo. (CBS4) - Park rangers in Rocky Mountain National Park say someone illegally shot a cow elk near Mills Lake.

Rangers found the dead animal Wednesday after they found out about the shooting.

Park spokesperson Kyle Patterson said the incident is under investigation.

Hunting is prohibited in the park.
