Parents Of Sexual Assault Victim Suing Douglas County School District

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. (CBS4) - Parents of an eighth grade student at Rocky Heights Middle School are suing the Douglas County School District in connection with a teacher convicted of sexual assault.

The girl was repeatedly sexually assaulted by her math teacher, and the suit alleges administrators ignored reports from other students and parents about the abuse.

The girl's teacher, Richard Johnson, admitted to sexually assaulting the girl dozens of times. He is now serving a 20-year prison sentence.
