Ouray Police Officer Killed In Crash On U.S. 550

OURAY, Colo. (CBS4) - A police officer with the Ouray Police Department was killed in a crash Monday afternoon.

According to the City of Ouray, Sgt. Scott Mills was struck and killed by a truck will driving his motorcycle on U.S. 550 between Ouray and Ridgway.

"It is with great sadness to announce that we have lost one of our own today. Sgt. Scott Mills of the Ouray Police Department was killed in a traffic accident this afternoon. We extend our condolences to his family and to our City family," Ouray city officials said in a statement on Facebook.
