One Of FBI's Most Wanted To Appear Before Judge In Jefferson County

GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4)- A man once on the FBI's most wanted list will face a judge Tuesday morning after his capture in Thornton on Friday night.

Investigators tracked down Myloh Mason to the Motel 6 at Interstate 25 and 84th Avenue in Thornton and a SWAT team surrounded the building. They called for Mason to surrender over a loud speaker and he surrendered without resistance about 5:30 p.m. Friday.

Investigators believe Mason was involved with two others in the Nov. 18, 2015 armed robbery of a First Bank on Kipling Street in Lakewood while wearing a Scream mask. Mason is also wanted in the attempted murder in the shooting of two people that same day.

Mason is scheduled for an advisement hearing at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Jefferson County Courts.

Mason was the 505th person to be placed on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list on Dec. 17, 2015. The reward for tips leading to his arrest was set at $100,000 but since a public tip did not lead to the arrest, the FBI says no reward money will be paid out.
