Ohio Man Extradited To Colorado In Extortion Case

ARVADA, Colo. (AP) — Police say a 24-year-old Ohio man has been extradited to Colorado to face charges in a sexual extortion of a suburban Denver teen.

Gregory Kasarcik of Ripley, Ohio, is accused of threatening to blow up the computer of a 13-year-old Arvada girl if she didn't perform certain sexual acts.

Police say Kasarcik met the teen over a social networking site in which he portrayed himself as being 15 years old.

The girl and her sister reported the threats, and Arvada police began investigating.

The Jefferson County District Attorney's Office says Kasarcik is charged with sexual exploitation, Internet sexual exploitation and criminal extortion.

A preliminary hearing is set for April 11. Kasarcik is being held on $50,000 bond.
