1 Dead After Early Morning Officer-Involved Shooting

NORTHGLENN, Colo. (CBS4) - One person is dead after an officer-involved shooting in Northglenn early Wednesday morning.

No police officers were injured in what started as an attempt to contact a stolen vehicle, which started about 3:30 a.m.

A neighbor told CBS4 she heard shouts of "No, No, No!" and gunfire shortly before police arrived at a home at East 105th Place and Franklin Way.

Police say when they made contact with the suspect vehicle, a stolen Honda Accord, the vehicle accelerated toward officers.

The car didn't stop, so officers fired at the vehicle. One suspect was rushed to the hospital. The other suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.

Neither suspect has been identified.

A SWAT team and K-9 teams were called in to assist. The Adams County Shoot team is completing the investigation.

Police told CBS4 that the people living in the homes nearby did not play a role in the shooting.
