Officer, Driver Injured In Chain-Reaction Crash

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - Two people, including an Aurora police officer, were hurt on Saturday afternoon in a chain-reaction car crash involving five vehicles.

The crash happened just after 2:30 p.m. on South Parker Road near the intersection with East Arapahoe Road.

A car smashed into a pickup truck and the truck then crashed into a police cruiser. Two other vehicles were also damaged.

Police said the driver at fault was transported to the hospital, so was the officer. Both suffered what were described as minor injuries.

It's not clear if the driver who caused the wreck will be cited. Police said it was a case of distracted driving.
