Nuggets Host Pre-Draft Workout 'Most Important Thing Is Practice'

DENVER (CBS4)- The Denver Nuggets hosted another pre-draft workout on Friday morning. This time with some guys who really made names for themselves during the NCAA Tournament.

Sam Dekker, who recently closed his college career for the Wisconsin Badgers, Jerian Grant, a Notre Dame senior guard who helped take his team to the Elite 8, and Devin Booker, one of seven players from Kentucky who declared early for this year's draft.

"You know the most important thing for us is practice, at UK, you know, everyday you're going against Wilie and Karl, I feel like that's the closest thing that's going to translate to the NBA, so I feel like UK was one of the best things that ever happened for me because it prepared me for this level," said Booker.

These guys didn't seem bothered by the fact that the Nuggets still don't have a head coach.

"You know usually the head coaches have been at all of these workouts so that is a little different but it's not like they're not going to have a coach especially when the season starts so the front office, they make the decisions, obviously the coach will have some input but the GMs and all the ownership, they're smart people, they know the best players and best personnel to make their team win, so I'm not too worried about that, we'll see what happens," said Dekker.
