DENVER (CBS4) - The Denver Nuggets held more pre-draft workouts on Monday and Tuesday.

On Monday Murray State point guard Cameron Payne hurt his wrist and had to leave the workout.

The other big name at the Pepsi Center was Trey Lyles, a big man from Kentucky considered a mid-first round pick. He said the Kentucky was so talented that some of his talents weren't needed.

"There are a lot of aspects of my game that I didn't get to showcase at school just because we didn't need it as a team," Lyles said. "We had it in different areas, so coach didn't need it from me and I couldn't complain, we were winning … these workouts are important so I can just go out there and show what I wasn't able to show."

Tuesday's workout got a little more physical than normal. Delaware State center Kendall Gray came away with a battle scar under his eye.

"Just an elbow to the face … they tried to give me stitches and everything but I just wanted to finish the workout," Gray said.

Gray said it was Miles Turner from Texas who hit him in the face with the elbow.

"We've been going at it all summer, so he actually got me," Gray said with a laugh.

It's not clear if the Nuggets will be working out any players on Wednesday.
