Shaw Not Pleased About Lawson Missing Practice

DENVER (CBS4) - The NBA trade deadline is close, and some of the players who practiced with the Nuggets on Wednesday may not be practicing with them on Thursday.

Meanwhile, their best player -- Ty Lawson -- was a no-show at practice. He apologized on Facebook, saying:

Travel plans got derailed ....but I'm always ready to go war with my bros... I know the season hasn't gone the we all wanted to but I'm a nugget until the day I die ‪#‎nuggetsnation‬ ‪#‎letthehatecommentspileup‬

His coach Brian Shaw was not pleased.

"A week off or nine days whatever in between games and you know, you expect everyone to be here. It disrupts the planning of everything in terms of you count somebody in practice but he's not here so we had to just go without him," Shaw said.

Several reports were circulating late Wednesday night that the Nuggets are exploring the possibility of trading Lawson before the deadline, which is at noon on Thursday.
