Nuggets Agree To Multi-Year Deal With JaKarr Sampson

DENVER (AP) - The Denver Nuggets have agreed to a multi-year deal with forward JaKarr Sampson.

The 6-foot-9, 214-pound versatile player averaged 5.1 points and 2.7 rebounds in 47 games for Philadelphia this season. He was waived last week after spending two seasons with the 76ers and appearing in 121 games.

Sampson wasn't selected in the 2014 draft after two years at St. John's.

Denver had some roster room after recently waiving forwards J.J. Hickson and Steve Novak. The team acquired Novak as part of the deal that sent guard Randy Foye to Oklahoma City.
