Northern Colorado Hangs On For 72-71 Win Over North Dakota

GREELEY, Colo. (AP) - Cameron Michael scored 18 points, including five 3-pointers, and Dominique Lee sank the winning free throw as Northern Colorado hung on for a 72-71 win over North Dakota on Saturday night.

Leading 42-28 at halftime, Northern Colorado (15-14, 10-8 Big Sky) had to hold off a North Dakota rally that tied the game at 71 on Quinton Hooker's bucket with two seconds left. Lee was then sent to the line after Dustin Hobaugh's foul, hitting 1 of 2 to put the Bears back on top before Hooker missed a 3-pointer at the other end as time expired.

Tim Huskisson added 14 points before fouling out for Northern Colorado, which shot 49.1 percent on 53 attempts from the field to win its third straight and get the season sweep.

Hooker scored 28 and Estan Tyler added 18 for North Dakota (8-22, 4-14), which outscored the Bears 43-30 in the second half.
