Northern Colorado Falls To Idaho 73-67

MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) - Jake Straughan came off the bench to knock down 6 of 7 3-point attempts to score 23 points, including three straight free throws in the final 10 seconds to wrap up a 73-67 Big Sky Conference win over Northern Colorado Tuesday night.

The Vandals, who had a two-game win streak snapped at Northern Arizona, bounced back with a strong finish against the Bears. Down 34-32 at intermission, Straughan hit a pair of 3-pointers to give the Vandals the lead for good with 9:16 left. Chris Sarbaugh missed his first free throw, then converted his next 12 attempts to keep Idaho in the lead.

Straughan's 23 points is one shy of his season high for Idaho (15-10, 7-5). Sarbaugh finished with 14 points and Chad Sherwood contributed 10.

Jordan Wilson scored 18 points for Northern Colorado (8-16, 5-7) and Anthony Johnson added another 17.
