Nobody Injured In House Fire, But Family Loses Pet Cat

MEAD, Colo. (CBS4) - An investigation is underway into the cause of a fire that claimed the life of a pet cat.

The fire started in a garage at a home on Rosemary Lane in Mead Tuesday morning.

There was an explosion, but it's not clear what caused it.

Although the homeowner was home, no one was hurt, but one of the family's cats died. Another was saved.

The cause to the fire is still under investigation.
