No Transcript Coming From Closed Holmes Hearing

DENVER (AP) - The judge in the Colorado theater shootings says no transcript will be made public from a closed hearing on whether defendant James Holmes should undergo another psychiatric evaluation.

Monday's order also says nine court filings on the issue cannot be released.

Holmes pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to charges of killing 12 people and injuring 70 at a movie theater in 2012. He has undergone a mandatory sanity evaluation, but the results haven't been disclosed.

Prosecutors allege the doctor who oversaw the evaluation was biased and want Holmes to be re-evaluated by doctors they chose.

The request will be argued at a hearing starting Jan. 27. The judge has barred the public and the media, saying publicity would make it impossible for Holmes to get a fair trial.
