No. 1 Pioneers Punch Ticket To Frozen Four With 6-3 Win Over Penn State

CINCINNATI, Ohio (CBS4) - The Denver Pioneers hockey team is once again heading to the Frozen Four in the NCAA hockey tournament.

The No. 1 Pioneers defeated No. 11 Penn State 6-3 Sunday night in the championship game of the NCAA tournament's Midwest Region at U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati.

Denver will face Notre Dame on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

Minnesota Duluth will face Harvard in the other matchup.
