New Year's Eve Is Goodwill's Busiest Donation Day Due To Last Chance For Tax Write-Off

DENVER (CBS4) - Goodwill Industries of Denver says hundreds of people dropped off last-minute donations of clothing and household goods.

It was the last chance for people to donate and get a 2015 tax write-off. One Goodwill employee told CBS4 it's their biggest day of the year.

"So typically we have cars stacked, eight, nine cars long," Ruthann Kallenberg with Goodwill said. "We just keep it going all day long. It's a great day."

Goodwill says donations had to be in good condition or better to be eligible for a tax deduction.
