New Valve Being Tested At Cheesman Dam

DENVER (CBS4) - Denver Water is testing a new valve at Cheesman Dam.

The utility planned the test for the same time as peak runoff so people using the South Platte River would know to expect high water.

Fishing in Cheesman Canyon could be tough because of the high and variable flows.

The new valves were installed in 2012 but the water supply has been too low until now to fully test them.
