New TSA Pre-Check Allows DIA Passengers To Bypass Security Lines

DENVER (CBS4)- Traveling at Denver International Airport may get easier for some passengers.

"Pre-check improves passenger flow at DIA without compromising security," said DIA Deputy Manager of Aviation Operations Ken Greene.

If passengers are approved, they can bypass long lines, keep their shoes and jackets on and leave their laptops in their luggage. They will also receive a known traveler number which will grant them access to TSA pre-check lanes at more than 100 participating airports.

There is an $85 application fee for a five year membership to the program.
