New Trailer For Quentin Tarantino's 'Hateful Eight' Showcases Colorado Landscape

DENVER (CBS4) - In an action-packed revival of the Western film genre, "The Hateful Eight" tells the tale of the Wild West while featuring a magnificent and untamed Colorado.

Soaring mountains, whirling snow and endless landscapes, alluding to endless possibilities for the characters, are seen in the two and a half minute trailer alone.

Amid the wintry emptiness of a blizzard are log cabins and bounty hunters. The jagged, snow-covered peaks are equally as harsh as the plot line, which stars Kurt Russell, Samuel L. Jackson, Channing Tatum and more.

Despite the gorgeous Colorado scenery, the movie is actually set in Wyoming.

"The H8ful Eight" is set to hit theaters Jan. 8, 2016.
