New Reports Swirl About Manning's Foot Injury
DENVER (CBS4) - Peyton Manning has plantar fasciitis in his foot. This was reported by CBS4 last week.
On Monday morning, following the Broncos devastating loss on Sunday to the Chiefs, ESPN broadcast new reports about the injury and how severe it is.
On Monday morning CBS4's Vic Lombardi took to Twitter to attempt to make sense of the injury to the star quarterback and how the reports about it are emerging. He also answered questions posed to him about it. The following are some of his tweets.
ESPN reporting torn plantar fasciitins for Manning. It's been torn for a week. Reported this last Tuesday.

No idea. Different degrees of tearing. Why I couldn't specify last week. Just know that it's plantar fasciia problem https://t.co/QRuIE6zb4Z

We always knew what the injury was. We reported this last Tuesday. Nothing changed. https://t.co/gPIQhTjTvI

Peyton's brother Eli had this exact same injury in 2009. He played through it. Of course, Eli was 28 at the time.

Nobody knows if it's partially or fully torn. Only he and the Broncos know. Can't speculate on medical diagnosis. https://t.co/YD9ipBrCMY

Broncos are starting to get the word out there about the foot. Tells me changes are indeed afoot. (pun intended)

Because injury reports are silly. They called it a sore foot. That's all they have to do. We knew what it was. https://t.co/01kZW2iwXl

Keep the injury secret for as long as you can, hoping he can play thru it. When it's obvious he can't, you get the word out. How it works.

Not entirely true. Broncos can only rely on the player here. Peyton felt he could deal with it. Not at 39. https://t.co/6iUJGvjFqU

He's had it for a while. The turf in Indy simply worsened the condition. Maybe they shot him up, who knows. https://t.co/jqjK0x3gC3

I'd be shocked if he didn't start the next two weeks. But it's impossible to speculate how long PM will be out. https://t.co/w8TI9LGoX9

may not have a choice in the matter. again, there's a reason the injury is now disclosed. https://t.co/GtumHT4dxK
