New Metro State Athletic Director Dr. Anthony Grant Impressed With Facilities

DENVER (CBS4) - A new athletic director was introduced Wednesday at Metro State University.

Dr. Anthony Grant has 10 years experience in college athletics, but he's never seen a Division II school with such great facilities.

"There's a huge commitment to athletics here. I mean this huge complex that we're sitting in is absolutely outstanding. It is definitely like none other that I've seen in Division II, and also rivals some Division I programs," Grant said. "Also there's a significant commitment here to position intercollegiate athletics at the front porch of this institution."

Grant previously served as the interim director of athletics at Millersville University (Pa.) where he oversaw 19 NCAA Division II teams, 70 coaches and more than 350 student-athletes, according to roadrunnersathletics.com.
