New Exhibit Celebrates The Ancient Art Of Samurai

DENVER (CBS4)- The newest exhibit at the Denver Art Museum includes a unique perspective of the ancient art of samurai.

The exhibit includes intricate and elaborate suits of armor from Japan. There are 140 objects on display in the "Samurai" exhibit. Some of them are 900 years old.

"You'll see an amazing variety of helmets, there are some weapons, we have horse armor which is extremely rare and really fun to see that," said Denver Art Museum curator Jessica Beasley.

The Samurai exhibit opens at the Denver Art Museum March 6 and continues through June 5. Special tickets are required with a discount for members.
