Neighbors: Pastor Taken From 'Suspicious Death' Scene In Handcuffs

DENVER (CBS4) - An autopsy is expected to be performed on Wednesday on the body of a woman who was found dead in Denver's Montbello neighborhood.

Denver police are calling the case a suspicious death investigation, but so far they aren't revealing why.

The woman's husband was taken away from the home where the incident happened by police in handcuffs, according to neighbors. They say that man is a pastor at a nearby church.

The home is located on the 14500 block of East Andrews Drive and the investigation began at approximately 5:30 p.m. Tuesday night.

A friend of the couple said the pastor called him after the woman's death and told him something bad had happened. That person also said the woman had been sick recently. Olutoyin Oladipo said the pastor would never have done anything to harm his wife.

"Godly people. If you go around the community and ask (about) them, they will tell you this is a man of God," Oladipo said.

Police said they haven't made any arrests in the case, they are just asking certain people questions about what happened.
