Drug Take Back Event Helps Dispose Of Prescription Drugs

DENVER (CBS4) - A national drive to dispose of prescription drugs took place on Friday across the country.

The Drug Enforcement Administration worked with state and local law enforcement to collect those drugs.

The event also helped make sure the drugs don't fall into the wrong hands.

"I didn't know what I would do with them and I didn't want them around the house," said Sheridan resident Hazel Goldsworthy.

Anyone who missed out on Friday's event can ask their pharmacist about other programs to safely dispose of expired or potentially dangerous medications.
