Musician & Colorado Resident Joe Cocker Dies Of Cancer

CRAWFORD, Colo. (CBS4) - Colorado resident and British native Joe Cocker, the beloved singer, has died.

Cocker's agent said Cocker, 70, died of lung cancer in Colorado.

The musician has lived in the small town of Crawford on Colorado's Western Slope since the 1990s with his wife Pam. They called the property they lived on the Mad Dog Ranch.

There, the couple formed an educational foundation for children called Cocker Kids Foundation.

Cocker's friend Bob Pennetta told the Associated Press the singer struggled with cancer for a long time.

Songs like "You Are So Beautiful" and "With a Little Help from my Friends" launched him to superstar status in the rock world.
