New Mural In Denver's Baker Neighborhood Aims To Confront Stereotypes Of Indigenous Women
DENVER (CBS4)- There's a new mural going up in Denver. Indigenous artist Gregg Deal is creating the piece.
He said the mural is meant to confront common stereotypes about indigenous women.
"They are the life-givers, the protectors of our children and our leaders and thinkers and in this day and age that representation is important," said Deal.
The work is being created on the Native American Bank Building on North Broadway in Denver's Baker Neighborhood.
