Multiple Porch Fires In Greeley Started By Cigarettes

GREELEY, Colo. (CBS4) - Greeley firefighters put out at least three porch fires last week they said could have been prevented.

All three were caused by cigarettes. They were tossed into either plastic buckets or a flower pot, which then started smoldering.

No one was injured in the fires, but firefighters want to remind smokers to dispose of cigarettes in metal or glass containers filled with sand.
