Mountain Vista Soccer Phenom Mallory Pugh Makes U.S. National Team

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. (CBS4) - Mountain Vista High School soccer star Mallory Pugh is officially a member of the U.S. National Team.

Pugh, 17, is the 2015 Gatorade Player of the Year and a rising star in the U.S. National Team system. She made her senior team debut Saturday in a friendly game against Ireland.

It didn't take long for Pugh to score her very first goal, heading one in. The U.S. won the game 5-0, and the first of probably many Team USA goals for Pugh.

Pugh will play for UCLA next year.
