Motorcyclist Killed In Hit And Run In Aurora

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - A motorcyclist died in an early-morning accident involving two pickup trucks in Aurora.

Police said the two drivers of the trucks were traveling together on Mississippi Avenue and turned left onto Moline Street in front of the motorcyclist. The motorcyclist laid down his bike to avoid the accident, police said, and was missed by the first truck. The second truck, however, ran over the motorcyclist and the rider.

He was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

The drivers, both adult males, got out of their trucks to examine the victim but then left the scene. A witness photographed the trucks before they left south on Moline Street.

Police found the trucks and drivers in south Aurora. As of Monday afternoon, the drivers were not in custody while the investigation continues.
