Mother Wants Thief To Return Son's Ashes, No Questions Asked

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - A burglar stole all the jewelry from a Colorado Springs mother but she only wants one piece back --an irreplaceable locket containing her late son's ashes.

Nola Thomasson's 41-year-old son Travis died of heart failure in September. She had a necklace custom made in his memory.

"You can keep the jewelry, the gold, the diamonds; you can keep the pearls. But I hope you'll see it in your heart to bring the locket back, no questions asked," Thomasson said.

The family says whoever took the locket can just return it to their home by dropping it in the mailbox.
