Mother Accused Of Giving Son Marijuana Brownie Appears In Court

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) - A mother accused of giving her 19-year-old son a marijuana edible before he leaped from an apartment window appeared in court on Tuesday.

Julieane Jablonski, 38, has been charged with providing a pot brownie to her underage son and witness tampering.

Police say Jablonski's son, Austin Essig, wrote that he ate a single brownie in April before he ran through an apartment in Fort Collins and jumped through the window and off a third story balcony.

Essig was seriously injured. Police said it was determined through the investigation that Jablonski provided the edible marijuana brownie consumed by Essig.
